The House of Doré Doré, also known as DD, is one of the oldest and most respected hosiery brands in France. Founded in 1819 by Jean-Baptiste Doré in the Champagne-Ardenne region, the company specialises in tights, hold-ups, socks, ankle socks, knee high socks and other accessories for women, men and children.

The brand was quick to gain recognition and success, winning the gold medal at the prestigious Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867, and boasted 1,700 employees by 1970.

In 2003, Doré Doré changed nationality and became Italian following its acquisition by the prestigious Gallo Group, which is based near Brescia.

Since 2012, all Doré Doré items have been made in Italy. Gallo retained the spirit and traditions of the brand, while successfully adding Italian touches and flair that can be seen in the style and colours.

In February 2019, the brand opened its flagship store on Rue de Rennes in Paris’ pretty 6th district, showcasing their hosiery to their 21st century customers and truly cementing their reputation.
